Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) 

Our CNA training program is a two week  course composed of 75-hours. This Certified Nurse aide class is offered in Oklahoma City.  We offer a flexible training schedule, including daytime CNA classes, weekend CNA classes and Evening or afternoon CNA classes. The student can choose the schedule that best serves his/her need. The CNA program is the basic course for the professional Certified Long Term Care Aide. The course focuses on caring for the residents, our elderly adults, and patients with compassion and professional care. Students are taught the principles of infection control, communication techniques, and the skills to safely care for people with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. After completing your certified Nurse Assistant course at MedNoc Training College, you will take the Oklahoma Nurse Aide state exam and after you pass your CNA exam, you will be listed on Oklahoma Nurse Aide Registry. You can be look for CNA jobs and be employed.

Home Health Aide (HHA)

Our 2 day training of  Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification course is tailored to meet our students needs who want to work as Home Health Aides. Upon successful completion of the HHA course. The trainee is allowed to take the Oklahoma State CHHA exam and upon successful passing, he/she is issued with a Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification by Oklahoma Department of Health. Our Certified Home Health Aide class and training is offered in Oklahoma City

After successfully completing 16 hours of HHA training at MedNoc you will be eligible to take the Oklahoma CHHA state exam and upon passing you can be employed to do HHA jobs in Home Health Agencies.

Medication Administration Technician (MAT)

Our Medication Administration Technician (MAT) is a 12 hour course. This  MAT class is a two day training program offered in Oklahoma City The MAT program is approved by Oklahoma Department of Human Services (DHS) under Developmental Disabilities Services (DDS). Our MAT classes are offered in Oklahoma City. The initial MAT training class must be 12 hours in length and must be renewed annually by attending a 6 hour update course.

Certified Medical Aide (CMA)

MedNoc Certified Medication Aide training program is the leading CMA school in Oklahoma. Our CMA program is a one week or three weekends training course composed of 40 hours. The CMA class is offered at our Oklahoma City Campus. Our Certified Medication Aide program is approved by Oklahoma State Department of Health- Nurse Aide Registry, with approval number is #3701628. We offer CMA weekend  classes, CMA evening and CMA daytime Certified Medication Aide classes

This CMA class is the basic course for the professional Certified Medication Aide (CMA). The  CMA course and training is a 40 Clock Hour Program, composed of 24 hours of classroom, and 16 hours of supervised practical training. MedNoc  Certified Medication Aide will train you to how pass medications under direct supervision of a licensed nurse

Certified Medical Aide  (CMA) Update

This CMA-Update course provides a Certified Medication Aide with 8 hours of required continuing education unit (CEU). The annual CMA Update is required by Oklahoma State Department of Health-Nurse Aide Registry to enable the certification holder to renew the CMA certification.

Pharmacy Technician

MedNoc is Oklahoma’s Premier Pharmacy Technician school. Our Pharmacy Technician program is 130 hours course, offered in Oklahoma City. The Pharmacy Technician program is composed of 78 hours of classwork, 12 hours lab skills and 40 hours of clinical learning in a local Retail Pharmacy. Our Pharmacy Technician classes are offered on weekends, evening and daytime.

Pharm Tech Students will  learn the fundamentals of pharmaceutical dispensing and will be prepared to take the Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification exam delivered by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), and the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) administered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Program topics include dosage forms, routes of administration, measurements and calculations, infection control, medication safety, prescription reading, and pharmacology.

Phlebotomy Technician

The Phlebotomy technician course is a 1 month course composed of 126 hours of training. The  program composed of 94 hours of class,  and 32 hours of clinical. The Phlebotomy course focuses on the training, and the practice of drawing blood from patients, and sending the blood specimens to the laboratory for testing. During your phlebotomy technician class, and training at MedNoc you will learn that as a phlebotomy technician you are an integral member of the clinical laboratory team.The phlebotomy course will train and show you how to draw blood, “stick.” By incorporating  class lectures, lab skills and clinical learning and externship.

We offer Phlebotomy weekend classes, daytime and evening courses to serve the needs of our students. The Phlebotomy technician evening classes  are completed in 6 weeks whereas the phlebotomy technician weekend classes are completed in 6 full weekends.

CPR

CPR training course is taught by an American Heart Association approved instructor. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a lifesaving technique useful in many emergencies, including heart attack or near drowning, in which someone’s breathing or heartbeat has stopped.

Basic Life Support (BLS)

This BLS class is an instructor led training, that includes initial BLS and BLS renewal class. The BLS Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Our advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) course is a 16 hour class led by AHA instructor. The ACLS course includes both ACLS renewal and initial ACLS training leading to issuance of ACLS certification from American Heart Association.  The ACLS course is only offered in class where the American Heart Association instructor who leads the course throughout the training period.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

The initial PALS training is a two day class composed of 16 hours. The PALS course is  led my American Heart Association instructor. We also offer PALS renewal.

Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS)

Our Medical Billing and Coding is a 195-clock hour program. This course is offered at our Oklahoma City Campus. The Medical Billing and Coding class offers the knowledge and skills needed to solve insurance billing, needs, and problems either manually or electronically. In this program, you will learn how to file claims for payment of services provided by doctors, providers, dentists and hospitals. The Medical Billing and Coding class also teaches students to complete common insurance forms, trace delinquent claims, appeal denied claims, and use generic forms to streamline billing procedures. Welcome to our premier Medical Coding and Billing school in Oklahoma. After you complete your Medical Billing and Coding program, you will sit for the National Certification Exam and afterwords look for employment jobs and career as a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist.

Medical Assistant

Our Medical Assistant program is 2 months and 3 weeks class composed of intense 355 clock hours of training. MedNoc’s Medical Assistant course is offered in Oklahoma City. To accommodate the needs of our students and employers,  our  Medical Assistant training course is offered in three different schedules. We have morning or daytime Medical Assistant classes, Afternoon/evening Medical Assistant classes and Weekend Medical Assistant classes can be done on. Upon completion of your MA training Program at MedNoc, you will be eligible to take National Examination through NHA and be a CCMA. If you chose the weekend Medical Assistant class, it will take you 16 weekends to complete.

Oklahoma Home Care Administrator Preparedness and Assessment Program (OHCAPA)

The Oklahoma Home Care Administrator Preparedness Assessment (OHCAPA) Program is a 200-clock hour course designed to train and prepare individuals to master knowledge and skills needed to pass the Oklahoma Home Care Administrator Preparedness Assessment (OHCAPA) and become certified in the State of Oklahoma as Homecare Administrator. This course is for individuals that do not have any experience working in home health or hospice.  Upon completion of the training, the individuals are eligible to take the OHCAPA examination. After successful completion of the state examination, the individual can apply for a home care administrator certificate. The course is taught by an instructor certified as a Home Care Administrator in Oklahoma. Upon successful completion of this program and passing the Oklahoma Home Care Administrator Preparedness Assessment (OHCAPA) examination, the student shall become a Certified Home Care Administrator.

EKG

The EKG program is a 122-clock hour course. The Electrocardiograph (EKG) Technician performs electrocardiograms according to physician’s orders and established practices and procedures. The EKG Technician tasks and responsibilities may include processing and assembling equipment, maintaining inventory, and processing data reports. The EKG Technician performs diagnostic tests to assess the patients’ heart rhythms and heart rate. EKG’s are also performed before and after operations, during physical examinations of patients with a history of heart disease, when patients are experiencing chest pains and when the doctor deems it necessary. The well-trained EKG technician is an integral part of the management of patients with heart disease. Upon successful completion of this course and passing the National Certification Exam, the student shall become nationally certified as a Certified Electrocardiogram Technician Exam, and the student becomes nationally certified.

 Learning Objectives:

 Define the role of the Electrocardiograph technician.

  1. Describe the state requirements related to ECG practice.
  2. Describe legal and ethical issues related to ECG practices.
  3. Demonstrate practical customer service skills.
  4. Maintain a safe environment and infection control.
  5. Describe the Anatomy and Physiology of the Cardiovascular System.
  6. Incorporate pharmacology within fieldwork.
  7. Review Basic Electrophysiology (i.e., Four characteristics of cardiac cells, identify nodes, measure heart rate, review ECG waveforms, and interpretations)
  8. Chart and Read ECGs.
  9. Recognize interference, loose leads, and other malfunctions
  10. Recognize responding/reporting to emergencies.

Prerequisites:

  1. Minimum High School Diploma, GED or other Equivalency, or higher.

 Admission Requirements:

  • MTC Application.
  • Two Forms of Government-issued ID. (One must be a photo ID and the other original SSN)
  • Minimum High School Diploma, GED or other Equivalency, or higher.
  • Background check (Offered at MTC for $25.00).
  • TB Skin Screening Test. (Offered at MTC for $20.00).
  • Drug Test. (Offered at MTC for $50.00).
  • Current BLS certification needed before clinical. (Offered at MTC for $60.00).
  • Signed Affidavit of Legal Presence.
  • Mentally and physically able to complete and pass this course.

Class Examinations/Clinical Skill Examinations:

  1. Students will be required to take (17) written exams and make an average score of 80% before being allowed to take the national certification exam.
  2. Students must pass all clinical skills with a score of 100% accuracy
  3. Students must pass checkoffs with a score of 100%.
  4. The student must write a 5-page essay about the clinical experience and score 80% per the grading rubric.
  5. The student must complete all 17-chapter exams and score a minimum of 90% on each chapter test.
  6. Homework, tests, and popup quizzes will be given. Therefore, completion of all readings assigned daily will be of paramount importance. This means that the student must always be prepared.
  7. If a student is unable to pass the national certification challenge exam, he/she will be required to remediate until such a passing score is attained before he/she can test for the state certification test.

 National Certification Examination:

After completing the Electrocardiograph (EKG) Technician training program at MedNoc Training College, you will be required to take the CET, which is a National Certification Exam offered by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). The exam will be offered at MTC.

CET Certification Exam Details:

The CET exam is offered through the National Healthcareer Association.

  • 100 questions, 20 pretest questions
  • Exam time: 2 hours
  • Pass: 390 out of 500 is a passing score in a scaled scoring system.
